Surrounded by 8,000 acres of wild Scottish countryside, the Rottal is the perfect location for a retreat if you enjoy outdoor activities.

Take a walk through the rolling hills of Glen Clova to enjoy some spectacular views and explore the varied wildlife. We have over 100 different species of bird either breeding or visiting the estate include lapwing, curlew, golden plover, whimbrel, greenshank, redshank, ring ouzel, golden eagle, osprey, merlin, red kite and peregrine. In addition we have red squirrels, pine martens, otters, and you may even spot the occasional wild cat.

Our terrain ranges from 800 to 3,000ft above sea level so if you are looking for a challenging hike we can advise you on the best routes available.
